In nice weather we headed up to Beachy Head ofshore reefs to try for bass but instead we got cod up to 7 lbs which was totally unexpected. We also hit a few makerel and some channel whiting. Well done to Kit (2nd left) wo won the best fish of the day prize (£24) but also got a second cod later on. We also tried for spurdogs half way through the day but only got huss. At last the inshore summer fishing has arrived.
